Overview
Kalkidan Legesse maintains a corporate and commercial law practice, with a particular emphasis on banking and secured transactions. She regularly represents both borrowers and lenders in a variety of lending matters, including domestic and cross-border debt financings, syndicated loans, acquisition financings and mortgage lending.
Before becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, Kalkidan articled and summered with the firm.

Asante Gold in its US$500-million financing package, including a C$237-million bought deal private placement of subscription receipts and the restructuring of approximately US$175 million of deferred consideration associated with the purchase of the Chirano mine
SolGold PLC in entering into a US$750-million syndicated gold stream agreement with Franco-Nevada Corporation and Osisko Bermuda Limited.
