Maiya Ebron earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary, where she was actively involved in advocacy, research and student initiatives. She achieved strong results in competitive mooting, placing second overall in the McGillivray Moot in her first year and later competing in the Davies Securities Moot, where she earned recognition for her exemplary oral advocacy and written legal competencies. Maiya also served the student community as a Project Leader with Pro Bono Students Canada for the Hearsay Podcast. During her legal studies, she developed interests in mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, environmental law and the law of armed conflicts.
Prior to law school, Maiya earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, where she also worked as an editor for the university’s political science journal. She gained early legal experience through summer internships at a criminal defence firm and continues to build on her interest in corporate practice.
