Jake Dubelaar maintains a corporate and commercial practice with a particular emphasis on commercial real estate. Jake regularly acts for some of Canada’s largest and most sophisticated real estate investors, developers and operators in connection with a wide array of matters relating to commercial real estate, including: acquisitions and dispositions, limited partnerships, co-ownerships and other joint venture arrangements, financings, commercial leasing and project development.

Recent Experience

KingSett Real Estate Growth LP No. 7, in its $271-million acquisition of a portfolio of 37 industrial properties in Atlantic Canada from Dream Industrial REIT.
Osisko Mining Corporation, in its response to Goldcorp Inc's unsolicited offer and subsequent agreement with Yamana Gold Inc. and Agnico Eagle Mines Limited to jointly acquire 100% of Osisko's issued and outstanding common shares for total consideration of $3.9 billion.
Canaccord Genuity Corp., RBC Dominion Securities and BMO Nesbitt Burns as co-lead underwriters in the $75-million bought deal prospectus offering of trust units of Pure Industrial Real Estate Trust.
Darling International Inc., in its acquisition of all the assets of Rothsay, a division of Maple Leaf Foods Inc., for approximately $645 million.
Glencore International, in its acquisition of all the outstanding shares of Viterra for approximately $6.1 billion by way of a plan of arrangement and the sale of certain assets of Viterra to each of Agrium and Richardson International for aggregate proceeds of approximately $2.6 billion.
NorRock Realty, in their acquisition by Partners REIT.
