Overview
Throughout his studies at the University of Alberta, Tyler focused on business law subjects, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate securities. Before attending law school, Tyler earned a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from the University of Victoria, majoring in Biology and Psychology.
Tyler was actively involved in his community through volunteer work with law school orientation and peer-tutoring events, as well as supporting individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries. He also founded and organized an annual charity hockey initiative involving the faculties of Law and Medicine at the University of Alberta and hosted the 2024 and 2025 Dale Masson Memorial Hockey Tournament for over 100 Canadian law students.
Prior to his legal career, Tyler spent several years working as a technical support provider for numerous health authority sites in British Columbia, which strengthened his skills in time-sensitive problem-solving and client service.
