Irene Bridger practises in the area of intellectual property law. In addition to being a lawyer, Irene is a registered patent agent in both Canada and the United States and a registered trademark agent in Canada.
Her practice includes intellectual property litigation, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, and commercialization of intellectual property. Irene practices before Federal and Alberta courts in matters related to patents, trademarks and copyright. In addition, she is involved in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications dealing with a variety of technologies. Irene has also been involved in negotiating and drafting technology licensing, research and joint venture agreements.

Irene has a scientific background that includes a Ph.D. in microbiology and time spent as a post-doctoral fellow at the Rockefeller University in New York, working with Nobel Laureate Dr. Gunter Blobel.
