Thurka Brabaharan has an employment law practice with a focus on management-side labour and employment matters. She advises clients on a wide range of workplace issues, providing practical and strategic solutions tailored to their business needs.

Thurka's approach emphasizes understanding her clients' unique challenges and delivering effective legal strategies to help them navigate complex workplace dynamics.

Thurka earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor in 2024. During law school, she developed a strong interest in labour and employment law through both academic and hands-on experiences. As a caseworker at the Migrant Farmworkers Clinic, she supported clients with precarious immigration status on a range of employment and human rights matters. She also received a labour arbitration award from Windsor Law in recognition of her overall academic performance in employment and labour law courses. Prior to law school, she completed a Master of Arts in Transitional Justice at Western University in 2020 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Western University in 2019, where she was named to the Dean's List.

Before joining Bennett Jones as an associate, Thurka summered and articled with the firm. During her articles, she completed a secondment at the Ontario Labour Relations Board, where she regularly attended hearings and gained firsthand insight into the adjudication of employment and labour disputes.

Thurka is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2025.
