Thurka Brabaharan
Associate

Overview
Thurka earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor in 2024. During law school, she developed a strong interest in labour and employment law through both academic and hands-on experiences. As a caseworker at the Migrant Farmworkers Clinic, she supported clients with precarious immigration status on a range of employment and human rights matters. She also received a labour arbitration award from Windsor Law in recognition of her overall academic achievement in employment and labour law courses.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones as an associate, Thurka summered and articled with the firm. During her articles, she completed a secondment at the Ontario Labour Relations Board, where she regularly attended hearings and gained firsthand insight into the adjudication of employment and labour disputes.
Thurka is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2025.
