2026 CBA Tax Law for Lawyers

Edwin G. (Ed) Kroft KC will serve as co‑coordinator of the CBA Tax Law for Lawyers Conference scheduled for May 31 to June 4 in Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake, Ontario. Presented by the Canadian Bar Association, this national program is developed by leading tax practitioners and designed to support junior tax specialists and non‑specialists in the practical application of Canadian tax law.

In addition to his role as co‑coordinator, Ed will also be speaking in four core sessions that address foundational and advanced issues routinely encountered in tax practice:

• Tax Dispute Resolution: Assessments, Appeals and Enforcement
• Tax Dispute Resolution: The Conduct of Tax Litigation
• Ethical Issues in Tax Practice: Solicitor‑Client Privilege, Practice Dilemmas and Risk Management
