Maureen Ward presents "Parallel and Distinct Remedies: The Intersection in International Financial Crime Between Criminal and Civil Remedies including Cross-Border Equitable Receiverships" at the 2019 International Financial Crimes Investigators Conference hosted by the Toronto Police Service - Financial Crimes.  This session will explore parallel and distinct remedies commonly pursued after the fall out of a cross-border financial crime. The session will analyze jurisdictional considerations and the intersection between civil remedies such as equitable receiverships and law enforcement. It will explore international civil asset tracing and freezing remedies along with a brief review of third party liability in financial crime.
