Mark Rasile Joins Bennett Jones as Partner in Toronto

Bennett Jones is pleased to announce that Mark Rasile has joined the firm as a partner in the Toronto office. He practices in the areas of financial services, lending and finance, M&A and private equity.

Mark advises on financing transactions for a range of domestic and foreign credit providers, including banks, alternative lenders, borrowers and sponsors. He acts on syndicated loan financings, acquisition and take-over bid financings, public and private bond offerings and other debt capital markets transactions, workouts, and restructurings.

Mark is highly rated in Chambers Global, Chambers Canada, Lexpert, Legal 500 and other legal directories as a leading lawyer in banking and finance. In Chambers Canada, clients praise Mark’s skill, knowledge and his “ability to explain technical concepts at a business level and to assist his clients in making quick and well-founded decisions.”

He is an honorary member of the Canadian Bond Investors Association (CBIA), where he helped develop its Model Covenant Discussion Paper and associated commentaries in 2017. An avid cyclist, Mark has competed in national and international competitions as a member of the Ontario cycling team.

Mark was previously with Bennett Jones from 2007 to 2017, serving as Co-Head of the Financial Services group between 2011 and 2017.
