Bennett Jones Recognized as one of Canada's Leading Law Firms by Chambers and Partners

Bennett Jones LLP was awarded first runner-up for Canadian Law Firm of the Year by Chambers and Partners, an international authority on the legal profession.

Each year, Chambers awards the most highly regarded law firms in various regions worldwide. The awards are based on research conducted for The World's Leading Lawyers for Business, published annually by Chambers and Partners, which aims to reflect the views of Canadian and international clients about lawyers and their firms. While all Canadian firms are eligible for this award, Bennett Jones was selected from a list of eight finalists. Winners were announced on November 8th, 2007, at the Hilton Park Lane in London, UK.

This award is the latest in a series of acknowledgements Bennett Jones has recently received, including:

• being ranked as one of the leading oil and gas legal firm's in the world, and one of the leading international firms specializing in petrochemical law (Project Finance Magazine's 2007 market survey);
• ranked tier 1 in Canada for project finance by IFLR1000. Also recognized in the areas of bank lending, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring and insolvency; and
• the only Canadian law firm ranked by Infrastructure Journal in the top 10 for healthcare infrastructure projects worldwide for the first half of 2007.
