Laura Murray has an international trade and investment law practice. She provides strategic advice on all matters relating to customs compliance, including tariff classification, customs valuation and transfer pricing, tariff preference, cross border GST/HST, export controls, and internal and external audits. Laura regularly represents client interests in appeals before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and anti-dumping and subsidy cases. She also has extensive experience with advising clients on economic sanctions, foreign corrupt practices, product safety and labelling, and other regulatory issues impacting cross-border trade and international business practices.
Laura has co-authored numerous publications on the subjects of Canadian customs and international trade, including the Bennett Jones Handbook of Customs Compliance and an article on Jockey Canada Company v. President of Canada Border Services Agency in the Global Trade and Customs Journal.
Prior to becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, Laura summered and articled at the firm.
