Tari Hiebert has a general litigation practice, with an emphasis on health law, occupational health and safety (OHS), and regulatory compliance.
Tari assists physicians with medical malpractice lawsuits, professional discipline, privileging issues, patient complaints, fatality inquiries, billing reviews, and the defence of criminal charges.
In her OHS and regulatory practice, Tari advises clients on compliance with provincial and federal OHS and regulatory laws in a variety of industries, including energy, utilities, construction, and mining. Tari also assists clients with workplace incident management, OHS investigations, and the defence of health and safety prosecutions. Tari has expertise in WCB matters and in assisting clients with compliance to the Safety Codes Act, National Energy Board Act, Canada Labour Code, and related regulations. She has presented at employment and OHS conferences and appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta.
Tari is a past member of the Horizon Stage Theatre Advisory Board for the City of Spruce Grove and is an enthusiastic supporter of the performing arts in our community. Tari also serves on the board of a non-profit Society that fundraises in support of a local Edmonton elementary school.
