Aleksandra Finelli has a transactional practice with a primary focus on commercial real estate and project development. In her commercial real estate practice, she has vast experience working on a variety of commercial transactions, including real property acquisitions and dispositions, sale/leasebacks, land development, asset management, construction and project finance. Aleksandra also routinely advises clients on complex leasing matters involving office, retail and industrial properties, including mixed use projects. Complementing Aleksandra's commercial real estate practice is her significant experience with public/private partnerships, green energy projects, including wind and solar power farms, and privatization of gaming facilities. Aleksandra's practical result-oriented approach ensures efficiency and client satisfaction.

Aleksandra is a member of Toronto Commercial Real Estate Women (Toronto CREW) and a past director of the Gatehouse. She is fluent in Polish.

Recent Experience

Supported logistics and warehousing company in its $150M acquisition of large industrial property in downtown Vancouver.
Extendicare Inc. in the $307.5-million sale of its retirement living operations comprised of 1,048 retirement living suites across 11 retirement communities located in Ontario and Saskatchewan, to Sienna-Sabra LP, a partnership formed between Sienna Senior Living Inc. (TSX: SIA.TO) and SABRA Healthcare REIT (NASDAQ: SBRA).
York1, a leading environmental and infrastructure services provider, in the acquisition of the Budget Group consisting of Budget Environmental Disposal Inc., Regional Disposal Services Inc., and Budget Iron and Metal Inc. and in its acquisition of United Environmental Holdings Inc.
Freed Developments Ltd. in its approximately $330-million acquisition of a portfolio of real property assets of including Horseshoe Valley Resort, Deerhurst Resort and some additional lands from Skyline Investments, together with the purchase of the portion of Muskoka Bay Resort it did not already own.
True Wind Capital and its portfolio company, Transflo, in Transflo's approximately $20-million acquisition of Microdea, a document management software company in the transportation and logistics sector.
Diversified, in its acquisition of the business of Advanced Presentation Products.
Wilbur-Ellis Holdings II, Inc., in its acquisition of Nachurs Alpine Solutions.
Canso Investment Counsel Ltd., in the private placement by an issuer in the print media industry of $90 million of 12.0% senior secured notes.
Calgary Glycol Facilities Corporation, in the Calgary Airport Dedicated De-icing Facilities Project.
Acal PLC, a UK-based company and a leading international supplier of customised electronics to industry, in its acquisition of Plitron Manufacturing Inc., a Toronto-based designer and manufacturer of custom toroidal transformers for transportation, medical and industrial applications.
Premier Gold Mines Limited, a Canadian-based mineral exploration company, in its proposed 50/50 partnership with Centerra Gold Inc. for the joint ownership and development of Premier's Trans-Canada Property including the Hardrock Gold Project located in the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone Belt in Ontario.
Infrastructure Ontario and Providence Care, with the structuring, procurement, negotiation and settlement of the project documents in connection with the Providence Care Hospital Project.
First Solar, in the development and sale of a 50 megawatt portfolio of three solar photovoltaic facilities in Ontario (Amherstburg (10MW), Belmont (20MW) and Walpole (20MW)).
A syndicate of underwriters led by Canaccord Genuity Corp., RBC Capital Markets and BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., in a bought deal offering of $184 million of subscription receipts of Pure Industrial Real Estate Trust (PIRET). Proceeds of the offering will be applied toward the purchase by PIRET of a $358-million portfolio of industrial properties from an affiliate of Slate Properties Inc.
TVI Pacific, in option and joint venture agreements with Mindoro Resources and Foyson Resources concerning mineral properties in the Republic of the Philippines.
Precision Castparts Corp., a worldwide manufacturer of complex metal components and products, in its acquisition of all of the outstanding securities of Centra Industries, a leading manufacturer of complex aerostructure components for the world's major commercial and military aircraft programs, and the land used to operate the business of Centra Industries for an undisclosed price.
Acciona Wind Energy Canada, in real estate issues associated with the development and financing of wind power projects across Canada.
First Solar, in the sale of a 40 MW ground-mount solar PV power project to NextEra Resources.
Precision Castparts Corp., in its acquisition of Aerostructure and Industrial Products from Héroux-Devtek for $300 million.
Secondment at Wind Mobile (March 2009 - Sept 2009) for assistance with securing antenna and transmission tower locations and negotiation of telecommunication leases.
Extendicare Real Estate Investment Trust, in its conversion from an income trust structure to a corporate structure by way of a plan of arrangement.
