Technology Learning Specialist

The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and engaging Technology Trainer to join our team! This role is ideal for a tech-savvy educator who thrives on designing and delivering impactful learning programs that empower professionals at all levels. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering technology adoption, boosting efficiency, and driving engagement across the Firm.

Essential Functions:

Learning Program Design & Delivery

  • Develop and deliver engaging technology education sessions tailored to the needs of Firm personnel.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding and continuous learning workshops for staff and lawyers on the Firm’s technology and software applications (both virtual and in-person).
  • Design and maintain high-quality instructional materials, including instructor guides, quick reference sheets, hands-on exercises, and visual aids.

Video Content Creation

  • Produce high-quality, engaging instructional videos, including screen recordings, animations, and real-time video tutorials, to provide on-demand learning opportunities.
  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive digital learning library accessible through the Firm’s Learning Management System (LMS) and intranet.

Innovation & Engagement

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand and communicate the value of technology tools.
  • Gather feedback to identify skill gaps and refine learning materials for maximum impact.
  • Explore innovative learning strategies, such as gamification, microlearning, and e-learning.
  • Stay ahead of technology trends to keep educational programs relevant and effective.

Quality Assurance

  • Test and evaluate new software to assess usability and user impact.
  • Provide insights into system functionality to optimize adoption and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in technology education, instructional design, or a related role.
  • Bilingualism (English and French), both written and spoken, is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Proficiency in creating and editing instructional videos using content creation tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, or similar software.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office 365, CoPilot, MS Teams, PDF tools, CRM systems, and Document Management Systems.
  • Experience with training and user adoption of GenAI technology.
  • Change Management experience is an asset.
  • Law Firm experience is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly adapt to and master new software and technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
