Eric Brown’s practice focuses primarily on tax litigation and dispute resolution. He represents clients at all stages of tax disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency and the British Columbia Ministry of Finance, as well as litigation before the Tax Court of Canada and Federal Court of Appeal. He also has experience assisting clients with voluntary disclosures and in dealing with CRA collections.
Eric is the chair of the Canadian Tax Foundation Young Practitioners Committee – Vancouver Section. He has completed levels 1 and 2 of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course, and is in the process of completing level 3.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Eric practiced with the Tax Department of another national, full-service firm. He served as a judicial law clerk to the judges of the Tax Court of Canada and articled with the Federal Court of Appeal, clerking for the Honourable Justice Wyman W. Webb.
