David Dodge on Inflation, Supply Constraints and Investment

David Dodge appeared live on BNN Bloomberg to share his thoughts on:

• prospects for inflation in Canada for 2022-2023;
• longer term constraints on supply;
• implications for government policy to facilitate investment; and
• implications for monetary policy.

David says inflation should gradually come down from multi-decade highs and he expects to see the Bank of Canada's main policy rate rise by a full percentage point at minimum. "Over the next year, those rates are probably going to go up at least 100 basis points."
