Betr Holdings, Inc. (Betr) has acquired the Chameleon platform from FansUnite Entertainment Inc. for US$7.45 million. The transaction closed on May 8, 2023. Bennett Jones is acting as primary transaction counsel for Betr.
Betr is the fastest growing sports betting media brand in the United States and the first microbetting-focused gaming company. It was co-founded in 2022 by Joey Levy and professional boxer and social media influencer, Jake Paul.
The acquisition of Chameleon accelerates Betr's broader sports betting market coverage and iGaming capabilities, including the ability to launch a fully integrated sportsbook and casino, while saving on long-term product costs.
The Bennett Jones team on the deal was led by Curtis Cusinato and includes Lucas Stevens-Hall, Matt Flynn, Talia Bregman and Phil Marshall.
