Bennett Jones is pleased to announce that Pat Maguire has been appointed Vice Chair and Calgary Managing Partner. He will continue his corporate commercial law practice with a focus on the energy sector.

“Pat is highly respected by clients and colleagues for his knowledge, strategic thinking and dedication,” says Hugh MacKinnon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bennett Jones. “He is a veteran of the Canadian energy industry and will do a superb job in his new role as managing partner in Calgary.”

Pat acts for energy companies on a broad range of commercial transactions, both in Canada and internationally. This includes some of the biggest and most complex recent cross-border deals in the industry.

He helps energy companies navigate purchase and sale transactions and almost all aspects of energy project development. This includes joint venturing, engineering procurement and construction agreements and commodity transportation, sales and related transactions.
