Jeff Leon Honoured For Professionalism and Civility by the Advocates' Society

Bennett Jones LLP congratulates Jeff Leon, this year's winner of the Advocates' Society Catzman Award for Civility and Professionalism. The award was established in memory of the late Justice Marvin A. Catzman and is presented to individuals who have demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and civility in the practice of law. This is the second year the award will be given.

Jeff is a Past President of the Society. In 2005 he was awarded the Law Society Medal by the Law Society of Upper Canada in recognition of his outstanding service and contributions to the legal profession. He is also the current Chair of the Board of Directors of Pro Bono Ontario.

The award will be presented to Jeff at the Opening of the Courts in Toronto on September 14, 2010.

The Advocates' Society was established in Ontario in 1963 to ensure the presence of a courageous and independent bar and the maintenance of the role of the advocate in the administration of justice.
