Bennett Jones sponsored the second annual Calgary Flames Ambassadors' Texas Hold'Em Charity Poker Tournament. Twenty representatives from Bennett Jones  participated in the event, including Steve Major, who was co-chair of the event, which raised close to $325,000. The primary beneficiary of these proceeds was the Rotary/Flames House, which cares for terminally ill children.

Calgary Flames players, coaches and alumni competed against 320 other poker players who bought-in at $600 a-piece to play against their hockey hers and for the chance to win more than $25,000 in prizes.

The winner of the tournament was Kelly Kellner, President & CEO of HeadsUp Entertainment. Second place went to Bennett Jones lawyer Chris Skelton, who knocked off Flames Right Winger Darren McCarty at the final table to secure his spot. Flames alumnus Dana Murzyn finished in fourth place.
