Bennett Jones congratulates Vancouver partner Kwang Lim and Calgary partner Christine Plante on being named Lexpert Rising Stars for 2018. The prestigious awards celebrate Canada’s leading lawyers under 40, from law firms and in-house across the country.

Kwang and Christine were honoured at a Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto on November 8.

Kwang’s business law practice includes corporate finance and M&A. He focuses on offering practical and strategic advice and facilitating opportunities for entrepreneurs, start-ups, scale-ups, public companies, agents/underwriters and other advisors across various industry sectors (including energy, mining, real estate, technology, biotechnology, and finance) that are involved in domestic and international financings and transactions. He also advises on securities law compliance and corporate governance issues.

Christine has a general commercial litigation practice with a particular emphasis on civil fraud recovery, employment law and shareholder disputes. She provides full-service advice with respect to all employment matters including: employee terminations; illness and disability; human rights; drug and alcohol testing; compensation matters; and the preparation and enforcement of employment contracts. She also has significant experience with various civil remedies for effective fraud recovery, and represents clients in a wide range of corporate and shareholder matters.

Congratulations Kwang and Christine!
