Ethan Sinclair has a corporate commercial practice focused on project development, infrastructure, energy, and construction law. He acts for owners and contractors on a variety of commercial matters relating to structuring, delivery and execution of projects, both in Canada and internationally.
Ethan advises clients in respect of procurement, contract drafting, negotiation and administration, and risk identification, evaluation and management. Clients in the public infrastructure, construction and energy industries benefit from Ethan's assistance on tendering and RFP documentation, design-build, finance, operate and maintain (DBFOM) agreements, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements, EPC management (EPCM) agreements, subcontract and supply agreements, service agreements, equipment leases, employment and secondment agreements, and bonds, guarantees and other forms of performance security.
Ethan has experience with public infrastructure development across Canada, including the structuring and implementation of private-public partnerships.
Ethan has acted on acquisition, divestiture and joint venturing transactions in respect of energy-related assets in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and offshore Canada's East Coast.
Ethan is an executive member of the Construction and Infrastructure Law section (National) of the Canadian Bar Association.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Ethan was an associate at another national law firm.

- Japan Canada Oil Sands (JACOS), counsel in connection with commercial matters for development of JACOS Hangingstone Project and the development of standard procurement templates.
