Ryan Bell has a general litigation practice with a focus on business litigation
and public and administrative law.
Robyn acts in a variety of litigation
matters, including securities, corporate, commercial, constitutional law,
directors' and officers' liability and product liability cases. She has also
acted as counsel in numerous administrative law matters.
Robyn has a
broad trial and appellate practice in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice,
the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court
of Canada and has also appeared before the trial and appellate courts of New
Brunswick and the Yukon Territory, and the Manitoba and Saskatchewan Courts of Queen's Bench. Robyn has appeared as counsel before
administrative tribunals including, the Ontario Racing Commission, the Ontario Securities Commission, the
Canadian Human Rights Tribunal and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
is a regular speaker at professional conferences and has, for many years,
taught advocacy skills for The Advocates' Society and for the Osgoode Hall
Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop. In the past, she has taught courses in civil
trial advocacy at Queen's University Law School. Robyn serves as a Mentor under
the Law Society of Upper Canada's Civility Complaints Protocol. She is a member
of the editorial board of Corporate Liability, published by Federated
Press and is a past director of The Advocates' Society.
