Bennett Jones LLP is pleased to welcome Michael Horgan to the firm as a Senior Business Advisor.
Michael joins the firm's Ottawa office following a distinguished 36-year career with the Government of Canada, where he most recently served as Canada's Deputy Finance Minister. Having also served as the Deputy Minister of Environment and the Deputy Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, Michael is able to advise Bennett Jones clients on economic and financial matters, energy and environmental matters (including energy projects and pipelines) and First Nations issues.
Michael was Executive Director for the Canadian, Irish and Caribbean Constituency of the International Monetary Fund and has served as a Director of the Bank of Canada, the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, CMHC, The Export Development Corporation, and other senior Committee's and Boards.
