 Bennett Jones Education McGill University, BA (Economics), 2019 University of Toronto, JD, 2025 Bar Admissions Ben Merrell joined Bennett Jones as a summer student in 2024 at the Calgary office, returning to the firm as an articling student in 2025. Overview Throughout his legal studies at the University of Toronto, Ben competed in the 2025 Davies Corporate/Securities Law Moot, completed an externship with the Law Society of Ontario, and served as vice president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Ben was actively involved with Downtown Legal Services during his time at law school and was recognized for designing and installing a large-scale mural at the clinic while serving as a student caseworker. Ben also spent several years working for True North Marine, which helped develop his skills in data analysis and the maritime shipping industry. |
