Overview

James completed his Juris Doctor at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, where he focused on the general business law stream and remained engaged in both academic and extracurricular activities. James has worked with the Ontario Hockey Federation as an appeal coordinator for the past two years, where he assists in the review of disciplinary matters and contributes to the governance of amateur sport in Canada. His community involvement includes supporting fundraising efforts for the CIBC Run for the Cure.

Before law school, James earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University, where he received several academic awards, including the D I McLeod Dean’s List Scholarship, the Christopher Leuchter Memorial Award and the Jason Capello Award. He has gained diverse work experience through a range of hospitality roles from serving brunch to cleaning scales off fishing boats at dawn. Outside of his studies, James enjoys fitness, hiking, fishing, golf and cycling. He approaches his legal training with an open mind and looks forward to exploring a variety of practice areas.
