Overview

Alicen is currently completing her Juris Doctor at Queen’s University, where she has been actively involved in clinical and experiential learning. She has served as a group leader with the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic, completed a placement assisting a family and civil litigation lawyer in Kingston and held the role of Vice-President of Events for the Queen’s Law First Generation Network. Alicen has also received academic recognition, including being named to the Dean’s List in her first year of law school.

Before enrolling in law school, Alicen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a Certificate in Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University. She has professional experience as a student caseworker in a legal aid clinic and as a legal advocate at a non-profit family law clinic, as well as several years of experience in hospitality. In her free time, Alicen enjoys skiing, hiking, travelling and watching television.
