  Education Bar Admissions University of Toronto, Honours Bachelor of Arts, 2023 Western University, JD, 2026 Overview Hala Kayed completed her Juris Doctor at Western University after earning a degree in Political Science (with minors in Philosophy and Middle Eastern Studies) from the University of Toronto in 2023. During law school, Hala distinguished herself academically and through her advocacy work, winning the Ethics and Professionalism Moot and earning a place on the Dean’s Honour List. She was also awarded the Law Society of Ontario Prize, presented to the top 15 graduating students. During her studies, Hala developed a particular interest in public and private M&A, securities law and corporate transactions, with Contracts and Income Tax among her favourite courses. In addition to her studies, Hala served as Vice-President of both the Student Legal Society and the Distinguished Speakers Committee and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada. She also gained valuable experience as an intern with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and as a research assistant at Western Law. Hala is fluent in Arabic. |
