Overview

Tom Feore has a general litigation practice with experience in complex commercial, fraud and class action matters. He has acted on behalf of clients across a variety of industries, including in the pharmaceutical, auto manufacturing and insurance sectors.

Tom has represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Court of Appeal for Ontario and the BC Supreme Court. He has experience arguing motions, assisting clients with defending multi-jurisdictional class actions and conducting internal investigations regarding governance matters in large public companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Tom summered and articled with the firm. During his time at law school, Tom received the Laskin Prize in Constitutional Law. Additionally, he and his team received awards for their oral and written advocacy in the 2019 Davies’ Annual Corporate/Securities Law Moot.

Tom is a member of the Advocates' Society and the American Bar Association.

Experience
•  BZAM Ltd. and other applicants in CCAA proceedings, including in respect of successfully defending a claim by Final Bell Holdings International Ltd. seeking equitable damages, a constructive trust and other relief
•  Pharmascience, in defence of a class action for allegations of product defect, failure to warn and manufacturing practices.

 

•  Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company, in defence of class actions and individual proceedings relating to denial of business interruption insurance claims arising as a result of COVID-19.
•  Representation of the joint liquidators of Stanford International Bank in recovery efforts arising from losses in the amount of $5.5 billion, the world's second largest Ponzi scheme.
