Overview

Peter Douglas carries on a general litigation practice with experience in complex commercial, fraud and class action matters. He has acted on behalf of clients across a variety of industries, including in the automotive, consumer products and insurance sectors.

Peter has represented clients before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal. He has experience arguing motions, assisting clients with defending multi-jurisdictional class actions and conducting internal investigations.

Peter obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) and JD from Queen’s University. While in law school, he received an award for highest standing in civil procedure and completed an exchange at the University of Glasgow.

Prior to joining Bennett Jones as an associate, Peter summered and articled with the firm. Peter is a member of the Advocates' Society and the American Bar Association.
