Overview

Taylor Davis has a corporate commercial practice with a focus on financial services and a supplementary concentration in private equity and general corporate matters. He acts for borrowers and lenders with respect to secured and unsecured financings, both syndicated and bilateral, in a broad range of domestic and cross-border financial transactions, including acquisition financings, aircraft financings, real estate and project financings, and asset-backed and equipment financings.

Taylor regularly advises banks and other financial institutions as well as clients in the aviation, energy, oil and gas, and related services industries.

Prior to becoming an associate, Taylor articled with the firm.

Experience
•  Hillcore Group in its acquisition of CEDA, a leading service provider specialized in providing industrial maintenance, turnaround and environmental services in Western Canada.
•  Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., in connection with its C$1.19-billion acquisition of an indirect minority equity interest in the Labrador-Island Link from Emera Inc. 
•  Anthem Properties Group, in its acquisition of The Cedarglen Group Inc. and the formation of Anthem Cedarglen Developments Limited Partnership. 
•  Hillcore Group in its acquisition of Thompson Construction Group, a leading heavy civil contractor and construction company in Western Canada.
•  Capvest Partners in its acquisition of Recochem, a Quebec based manufacturer of aftermarket transportation and household fluids.
•  TriWest Capital Partners, in connection with its partnership in Supreme International Limited, in conjunction with senior management and Export Development Canada.
•  Lithion Power Group, in its acquisition of Aved Electronics.
•  1908 GP Inc., in the formation of 1908 LP and the formation and capitalization of POI Holdings LP by a syndicate of private Canadian investors led by Cody Church, on behalf of Clear North Capital, together with a team that included Rakesh Saraf (formerly of ATRF) and Kenny Albert (formerly of Kilmer Capital), and the acquisition of a majority interest in the business of POI Business Interiors Inc., a provider of workspace environment solutions and a Steelcase distributer in Ontario.
•  TriWest Capital Partners, one of Canada’s leading private equity firms, in partnership with senior management, in its investment in PRT Growing Services Ltd.
•  TriWest Capital Partners, one of Canada’s leading private equity firms, in partnership with senior management and existing shareholders, in its investment in Lithion Power Group (fka HPC Energy Services Ltd.).
