Overview

George maintains a general civil litigation practice with a focus on commercial disputes. He has experience representing clients before the Alberta Court of King's Bench, as well as domestic arbitration proceedings involving complex contractual disputes within the oil transportation industry. George also advises on various construction, fraud recovery and energy disputes.

Before becoming an associate with Bennett Jones, George summered and articled with the firm. He has an undergraduate degree in Financial Economics along with prior work experience in the banking sector as a commercial portfolio analyst.

George actively seeks to be a positive contributor to his community. He is a community volunteer with the Calgary Homeless Foundation Governance Committee, a not-for-profit organization that guides the fight to end homelessness in Calgary.

Experience
•  Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure in an alleged claim by Axiom Oil and Gas seeking injunctive relief and damages for breach of an agreement that governed the processing of Axiom's sour gas production
•  Calgary Exhibition and Stampede in its successful trial defense of a nuisance and declaratory relief claim before the Alberta Court of King's Bench
