Brandon Mewhort's practice is focused on regulatory law, environmental law, aboriginal law and energy litigation. He has assisted clients on matters before federal and provincial regulatory tribunals, such as the National Energy Board, the British Columbia Utilities Commission, the Alberta Utilities Commission, the British Columbia Oil and Gas Commission and the Alberta Energy Regulator. He has experience with, among other things, resource and infrastructure development, environmental assessments, public utility regulation, the remediation of contaminated sites, First Nations and Metis issues, and tolls and tariffs.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Brandon was an associate at another Canadian-based international law firm. He articled at the Court of Appeal of Alberta.
Brandon is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and a member of the executive of the national CBA administrative law section. He volunteers for the Access Pro Bono Society of BC and previously volunteered with Calgary Legal Guidance and Pro Bono Law Alberta when he practiced in Calgary.
