Ben McLaughlin practices corporate commercial law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, securities and private equity transactions. Ben acts for public and private companies in both established and emerging markets, with experience in various sectors including healthcare, cryptocurrencies and technology. He has experience in leveraged buyouts, corporate reorganizations, financings and other corporate and capital markets transactions. In addition to his transactional practice, Ben regularly assists clients with day-to-day corporate matters.
Before becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, Ben summered and articled at another full-service law firm in Toronto. While in law school, Ben was Vice President of the Osgoode OUTLaws and the Osgoode/Schulich JD/MBA Students Association and was a caseworker with the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic. He also previously worked in corporate strategy at a technology startup.
Outside of work, Ben stays busy enjoying the outdoors and sailing dinghies and yachts in national and international regattas.
