Annette McIntosh has been the Coordinator of The Student and Professional Development (Alberta) Programs for a number of years. Annette is one of the first points of contact for students applying for summer student and articling student positions. She handles the administrative side of the application process for the students, processing applications as they are received and interacting with students during the recruiting period.
Annette plans and oversees all orientation sessions for both summer and articling students to ensure that each student is provided the foundation of knowledge to excel. She also assists articling students with all Law Society matters and CPLED (bar admission course) matters, including preparation of paperwork for application to become an articling student and when the time comes, preparation of the documentation to become a practicing member (call to the bar).
Annette assists with planning and booking the professional development sessions held in-house, known as the Bennett Jones Academy. These sessions provide our students and associates with the opportunity to further expand their knowledge with respect to various areas of law, as well as practical sessions with respect to the practice of law generally.
Annette has her Business Administration Degree Majoring in Human Resources and her MBA with a specialization in Human Resources and enjoys putting her education to use in supporting the professional development of our summer and articling students.
