Daniel Masliyah practices corporate and securities law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and corporate governance matters. He advises clients in a range of industry sectors such as gaming, mining, technology, health care, media & telecom, and real estate on corporate finance transactions (such as initial public offerings, secondary market offerings, private placements of equity and debt securities and private equity investments) and M&A transactions (such as takeover bids, plans of arrangement and other business combinations). In addition, Daniel provides advice on regulatory and compliance issues to public issuers, including continuous disclosure, securities regulatory and corporate governance obligations.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones as an associate, Daniel summered and articled with the firm and in 2014 was seconded to the Ontario Securities Commission where he worked in the Enforcement Branch. Daniel is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association and is also a registered notary public.
