Sina has a general corporate practice with a focus on intellectual property. He assists Canadian and foreign clients in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in fields related to biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, therapeutics, medical devices, agriculture and chemistry. Sina's corporate practice involves acting for both buyers and sellers in share and asset based transactions including providing licensing and IP review. He also assists with the incorporation of businesses, conducting contract review, general due diligence, providing business risk analyses and maintaining general corporate matters.
Sina has a Master's degree in microbiology and biotechnology from the University of Alberta. He is the co-author of a paper published by the Legal Education Society of Alberta entitled "Intellectual Property Law for Non-IP Lawyers".
Prior to becoming an associate, Sina articled with the firm.
