Sina Kazemi is a technology lawyer who advises Canadian and foreign clients on a broad range of matters in the areas of technology and intellectual property, including technology development and licensing, mergers and acquisitions, privacy, and related corporate and commercial matters.
Sina is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Sina has a Master's degree in microbiology and biotechnology from the University of Alberta. He is the co-author of an academic paper published in the Supreme Court Law Review entitled "Section 2(b) of the Charter and the Regulation of Digital Expression" evaluating the Internet as a protected medium of communication under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Sina has also co-authored a paper published by the Legal Education Society of Alberta entitled "Intellectual Property Law for Non-IP Lawyers".
Prior to becoming an associate, Sina articled with the firm.
