Nicholas Jeanes has a general corporate commercial practice, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, corporate finance, private equity matters and shareholder disputes. Nick has experience acting for clients in a diverse set of industries and spaces including oil and gas, renewable energy, technology, commercial real estate and start-ups. He also acts in private equity transactions and works closely with private equity funds and portfolio companies.
Nick uses his broad range of skills and practical approach to assist his clients with both simple and complex real estate development projects, strategic planning, risk management, financings, commercial lending, simple and complex mergers and acquisition and corporate reorganizations. He negotiates and structures a wide range of transactions including asset and share acquisitions, sales transactions, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations, and start-up financing and structuring. Nick is a strong proponent of the early adoption and use of emerging legal technologies to continue to drive value for his clients and ensure transactions are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Nick is originally from the Edmonton area and is the Co-President of Young ACG, Edmonton chapter (a subchapter of the Edmonton Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth).
