Mark Christensen has a corporate commercial law practice with an emphasis on the commercial real estate planning and financing of all asset classes, including industrial, office and retail.
Mark assists clients with complex commercial acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and financial lending. Mark provides strategic, pragmatic advice to guide land developers through all aspects of land assembly, financing and leasing. Acting for lenders and borrowers, he advises on real estate financing and commercial lending, including construction and acquisition loans. A diverse group of clients enlist Mark’s counsel in connection with corporate and ownership matters, including partnership, joint venture and co-ownership agreements.
Mark also has particular industry expertise in the senior assisted living space, acting for owners and operators of both private and government-funded facilities. His recent experience includes advising on the acquisition of a portfolio of eight senior assisted living facilities in Alberta, involving various governmental departments, privacy, tax and employment matters.
Mark is a member of the Calgary chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and sits on their Board of Directors. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
