Rami Chalabi is engaged in a broad corporate commercial practice with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, securities law and capital markets transactions. His experience includes advising on public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities, proxy contests and special committee processes. Rami’s experience also extends to providing advice to public companies on their disclosure, corporate governance and other corporate and securities law obligations.
Acting in both the Canadian and cross-border context in industries including mining, technology, consumer products, media & telecom, financial services, healthcare, real estate, REITs and retail, Rami assists clients in achieving their goals while safeguarding their interests in the complex transactional landscape. Clients include both public and private issuers (large, mid-cap as well as emerging), and foreign acquirers of Canadian entities.
Prior to becoming an Associate, Rami summered and articled with the firm. Rami’s other professional experiences include working for an international organization in Geneva, Switzerland, and as a journalist in Beirut, Lebanon.
